COPD Update for Primary Care

A review of COPD including related policies and guidelines and current evidence based diagnostic and treatment pathways.  This update is aimed at those practitioners who wish to update their knowledge and skills and demonstrate their continuing competence.

  • Quality assured spirometry and basics of interpretation
  • Symptom management: inhaled therapy according to GOLD and NICE
  • Non-pharmacological management of symptoms
  • What makes a good COPD review
  • Assessing the impact of disease and identifying co-morbidities
  • Self-management and rescue packs
  • Assessment and management of acute exacerbations
  • Identifying palliative care needs

Cancellation period for paid events 
The minimum cancellation period is 21 days in writing before the course.  Cancellations less than 21 days before the course date will need to be paid for in full.
