Immunisation Update for HCAs, Allied Healthcare Professionals and Pharmacists (UK only) 

 This course covers all the requirements for an immunisation update as set out in the National Minimum Standards and Core Curriculum for Immunisation Training.
 

Areas covered will therefore include:

 

  • Current issues in immunisation relating to vaccines that HCA’s administer (including flu, COVID,  Shingles, and Pneumococcal) and also other injectable medicine such as B12 injections.

 

  • Recent epidemiology of the diseases HCA’s commonly vaccinate for changes to recommendations or national policy
     
  • Changes to storage, ordering and administration
     
  • Legislative changes
     
  • Areas for improvement and adverse incidents as well as current ‘hot topics’ in the industry
     
  • Q&A: opportunity for questions about vaccination practice throughout

           The minimum cancellation period is 21 days in writing before the meeting, cancellations less than 21 days before the  

           meeting date will need to be paid for in full.
