This course supports healthcare professionals to develop a clear, evidence‑based understanding of transgender healthcare in the primary care setting. The session explores the unmet and often unrecognised needs of trans people, culturally competent communication, inclusive practice and how to adapt screening pathways such as cervical screening, PSA testing and breast screening.
Delegates will learn how mental health issues disproportionately affect trans individuals, how to use terminology respectfully, and how to provide safe, supportive and affirming care.
