Travel Health Foundation Course – 2-day Accredited Foundation Course

Foundation Course – New to Travel Health (CPD Accredited 2‑Day Training)

The Foundation Course – New to Travel Health is an interactive, accredited two‑day programme designed for registered healthcare professionals who are new to travel health. Moreover, the course equips clinicians with essential knowledge, practical skills and the confidence needed to deliver safe and structured travel health consultations. Every session follows national guidance to ensure consistent, evidence‑based practice across primary care and private travel services.

Additionally, the course aligns with the RCN and RCPSG Travel Health Competency Frameworks, giving delegates a clear understanding of professional expectations. Participants explore risk assessment, vaccine‑preventable diseases, malaria chemoprophylaxis, wider travel risks and core immunology principles. Consequently, clinicians learn how to deliver organised consultations that support safe decision‑making and effective patient communication.

Delegates receive a workbook before training to support learning. After the course, participants complete supervised practice, allowing them to consolidate skills and achieve full competency sign‑off. This structured approach ensures safe, confident and consistent travel health delivery.
