This accredited Cytology Update course keeps cervical sample takers current, confident and aligned with NHS Cervical Screening Programme standards. Moreover, the session guides clinicians who already perform cervical sampling, offering a clear and evidence‑based update on modern screening practice. Additionally, the course reviews the 2025 screening interval changes, HPV primary screening and recent programme developments.
Participants explore screening eligibility, appropriate testing and the interpretation of HPV and cytology results. Furthermore, the course outlines referral pathways and governance duties, helping clinicians strengthen safe and consistent practice. The session also develops practical skills, including transformation zone sampling, documentation, failsafe systems and incident management.
