New to Immunisation for Registered Healthcare Professionals (accredited 2-day foundation course)
This accredited two‑day Foundation Immunisation Course provides registered healthcare professionals with the most up‑to‑date evidence, national guidance and practical skills required for safe, effective immunisation practice. Designed for clinicians new to immunisation, the programme introduces essential knowledge, clinical techniques and underpinning research to support confident, competent vaccine delivery.
Across two structured days, delegates will explore national policy, vaccine types, immunology, documentation, anaphylaxis management, administration techniques, PGDs/PSDs, the national immunisation schedule, incomplete vaccination pathways and vaccine‑preventable diseases including COVID‑19 and flu. Workbooks are issued prior to the course, and a period of supervised practice is required before independent immunising.

- Patient Group Directions (PGDs)

- National immunisation schedule and incomplete vaccinations
- Vaccine‑preventable diseases
Workbooks: Emailed prior to the course; attendees must print and bring both days.
Supervision: A period of supervised practice is required post‑course, signed off by a mentor/supervisor before independent immunisation.
